So the ECU Pirates finish off the football season with a 5-6 record. Granted, its not a winning season (however close) but it is still a major improvement from the combined record of the past two years of 3-20. I haven't been able to watch any of the games, but looking at the stats and reading about the games it sounds like our new head coach Skip Holtz has really found a way to place and utilize our players to the best of their abilities. Two coaches ago Steve Logan did an awful job recruiting, and Thompson never found a way to win with what he had. I'm looking forward to seeing what Skip can do in the long run with this team. Could he be as good as his old man? Only time will tell.

201 Love
Rollin' On Duds
At PetSmart today I asked the lady at the counter if there was much of a difference between the different brands of filters. Her response was, "No, not really. They're like cars. Essentially they're all the same." I wanted to ask her is she was fucking serious. How can someone honestly say all cars are essentially the same? This lady must have owned a Pinto back in the day.

Countdown to Blub
Today I went out and dropped over $300 for a new fish tank and all the supplies. Here are a couple pictures of my setup. I don't have any fish in there yet because I'm going to develop the "water cycle" first so that I don't have to worry about putting my fish into harmful water. If you're not familiar with what the "water cycle" is, basically I'm just going to let the water hang out in the tank till enough of the good bacteria grows which will help create a chemical balance that is essential to a fish's health.
That will take about 2 months, then it'll be time to have a new roommate.

New Look and a New Featured Flava
So what do you guys think about the changes I made to the format here? I'm very pleased with it, especially considering I did it all blindly since I know nothing about html code.
New Featured Flava by the way. This one is Theologians by Wilco. I had an opportunity to see these guys at a Hurricane Katrina benefit a few weeks ago, but work got in the way so I had to miss it. I'll get to see them one of these days though. In the mean time, enjoy the Flava.

North Carolina...Population 8 Million
Twice now my grandmother has called me to tell me there was a contestant on Jeopardy from NC, and she wanted to know if I knew them.

Rise and Shine Campers
Today in Chicago we had snow flurries and a 28mph wind. In Greenville, NC it was 79 degrees and Megz said she was wearing a sleeveless shirt.

Its a Cheeseburger
The road I live on, Lake Shore Drive, is commonly referred to as LSD for short. Also, I live on the 19th floor of a high rise condo building. Given this, one could say I live high on LSD.
Anyone recognize the connection between the post title and the topic? Hint: Think TV shows.

Read My Butt...No New Taxes
I'm starting to see a new trend in men's clothes emerge. I'm talking about shirts with writing on the very bottom of the back. Basically right where the butt is. It reminds me of the fad in womens shorts with writing on the butt. I like the girl butt shorts, unless its one of those really young teenager butts then it just makes me feel dirty, and I wish I never learned to read (which was last week).
I have to admit I already own one of these "butt shirts" but its ok cause its a Mike Doughty shirt and Mike Doughty is awesome.
The Team Across the River
I read an article on Chicago Sports.com that pretty much echos my thoughts on the Chicago White Sox winning the World Series. If you are already, or are willing to register with them then you may follow this link to the article. -World Series woes-
If you don't want to bother registering with the site then I have reposted the article here on my Multiply site.

Pok-her
Poker is not a sport, but ESPN insists on showing people play it all the time. Everyonce in a while I'll watch it, and I don't have anything against poker, I just don't see why its often found on a Sports network. While I'm on the subject, Cheerleading isn't a sport either. Nobody goes to a football game (which is why cheerleading was invented) and says, "Oh man, I wonder which cheerleading team is gonna win!" No no, they instead say, "In between football plays I'm gonna look at the cheerleaders because they're in short skirts, and their ass cheeks are hanging out."
Oh, and check out my random lyric in the sidebar. A new one will pop up everytime you load the page.

Former Fuckin Featured Flavas
I got adventurous and changed up the sidebar a little bit. Instead of bumping out old "Flavas" in favor of the 3 most recent ones I figured I should just make a separate section for all the old ones. Its not like the songs cease to be good after a couple weeks.
This should provide for a greater ease of rocking.

Me Love You Long Time
There's this sushi restaraunt here in Chicago that has recently started offerring the sexiest way to eat sushi. Off of a woman's naked body. It's called "body sushi" and for a minimum of $500, you get an all-you-can-eat sushi and nigiri buffet served from a naked female body.
Probably includes a "happy ending" for an additional $500.

Fat Bralbert
Being optimistic I would have trick or treaters come by for Halloween I bought two big bags of candy from the store. Unfortunately not a damn kid came by. I suppose I can blame it on the fact that I had to work late and didn't get home till 8, but also because I live in a high-rise condo full of old people.
Oh well, I guess I'm just gonna have to eat it all by myself. Then I'll look like the picture above.

I Find A Need To Be The Demon
Went to see Guster last Saturday night. I've been on one hell of a crazy Guster kick lately so this show couldn't have come at a better time. It was an excellent show overall. The encore was especially excellent. They completely unplugged, walked up to the front of the stage, and did an acoustic Jesus on the Radio. The studio version is now the latest Featured Flava.
They played at the Riviera Theater uptown which is an interesting place to say the least. Its a historic building built in 1918 and was originally a movie theatre. At one point it was an amazing place, but the years have not been nice. Now its a run down shit hole, but it has decent sound. They're trying to renovate it, which is why I had a $1 facility fee on my ticket price. If they want to make this place look good again its going to take more than a buck.
