I recently took a long weekend vacation back to the SouthEast. I flew into Washington D.C. where I got to see Megz, Georgetown, the Air & Space Museum, and some other notable scenes. Then we drove to Greenville where I got to see some more long lost friends and had some long lost fun. Notable events were Finelli's crabmeat lasagna, late-night Krispy Kreme, Bella the baby eating hound, and many others. I also went to an ECU football game and they actually won, and they actually don't have a losing record. Its like freshman year all over again, except James Pinkey is no David Garrard that's for sure. After that it was back to Washington D.C. for a brief time until my early flight back.
This trip definitely solidified my distaste of Greenville. The only reason I would ever go back is to go to a football game. Soon whats left of my friends there will be gone, and so will my motivation for ever stepping foot into the city limits again. Shannon told me, "Don't be one of those guys that moves to a better place and then talks about how much better it is." Too late.
